The Network Branded Prepaid Card Association (NBPCA) is the recognized authority for prepaid information both on Capitol Hill and in the marketplace. A nonprofit organization, NBPCA brings together leaders of the prepaid industry to formulate best practices, provide a fact-based voice to media and government, and promote consumer education. The association’s broad membership touches 70 percent of the prepaid market.

Two working groups—Government Relations and Media and Consumer Education—meet regularly to discuss pressing issues, provide a forum for information exchange and receive timely analysis regarding new legislation and regulations. The NBPCA has 3 new action groups this year—Payroll, Health and Fraud—to address specific topics in these areas (legislative/regulatory actions at a state/federal level, studies, media, etc.). The association conducts primary research and studies, publishes white papers and is a central point of contact for the prepaid industry in media and on Capitol Hill (legislative, regulatory and law enforcement).
